Amy O’brien
Sew Fun started simply with my love for sewing. I grew up with a mother who loved to sew and took the time to get me my own sewing “basket” and teach me all the basics. I loved the clothes that she made us as kids because they just felt better. You could feel all the time, energy and love that she had put into each piece. I spent years concocting my own creations that usually did not withstand my wear and tear. I sewed clothing inside out, backwards or just plain wrong. I ripped out lots of seams. But in the end, mistakes = lessons.
Aside from my sewing, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned my degree in Elementary Education. I was also a teacher at Tuckahoe Montessori School for four years and I am currently the Children’s Program Coordinator and instructor at the Academy of Kung Fu. I have undergone a background check through the state of Virginia to be certified to teach children.

zoe williamson
Zoe has a rich background in the creative field that she continues to explore in different avenues. For the majority of her career, she has been an avid art educator, working for the Montessori system in Richmond, VA, and San Luis Obispo, CA. She has also been involved with Sewfun throughout the years, assisting her sister since the very beginning. In the past year, she has stepped away from teaching to incorporate her UX design skills into the Graphic Design position at Sewfun. It is truly a full-circle moment—teaming up with her sister and incorporating all of her passions for illustration, design, and sewing.
